Summer Instructional Clinics

WHO Boys & Girls Ages 3-6
WHAT YMCA Soccer is a skill-development program designed to introduce children to the basics of soccer in a fun and inviting environment. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved as the pair learn new skills, run through drills, and have fun together! The emphasis is on learning, confidence building, and socialization; not winning or competing. Kids will start each session with a 30-45 minute structured learning time/practice, followed by a 15 minute game.
WHEN Tuesday's June 19-July 31 (no clinic on July 3)
WHERE Field at Greer Elementary School

6pm (3-4 years old) & 6:45pm (5-6 year olds)

Note: Sessions for ages 3 and 3-4 are 45 minutes. Sessions for ages 4-5 and 5-6 are one hour.

Program Goals:

  • Build strong parent/child relationships!
  • Introduce and building upon basic soccer skills.
  • Provide a fun, non-competitive atmosphere for children to learn the fundamentals of soccer.
  • Have fun!

Instructional Clinic Details:

  • Session size will vary according to the number of participants.
  • Kids will play age-appropriate, modified games to learn the sport of soccer.
  • The Y will provide soccer balls, t-shirts, and medals.
  • Children and parents should wear comfortable clothing. Shin-guards are required. Cleats are recommended, but not required.
