As the COVID-19 situation remains ever-changing on a global, national, state, and local level, the Piedmont Family YMCA has made the decision to CLOSE ALL FACILITIES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, for the health and well-being of our community.
As an organization rooted in social responsibility, we must do our part in heeding the call from state government, national government, and national health agencies in taking the steps needed to slow the spread of this illness through extensive social distancing. Our leadership continues to meet daily, consult with our Board of Directors, other YMCA associations, and our partners to monitor the situation so that we make the most informed and thoughtful decisions possible throughout this unprecedented event. The decision to temporarily close does not come lightly, but comes with one major goal in mind - to protect the health and well-being of our community and staff.
We are providing alternative virtual fitness resources for our members to participate in from the comfort of their own homes. You can find these resources here:
We ask you to consider remaining an active YMCA member during this uncertain time. Our plan is to continue to pay our staff for as long as we can while we are closed, and to do that we will need your support. However, we understand if you would like to put your membership on hold and we can do that starting in April if you wish. For questions about membership, please contact Christine Case at email@example.com or Roderick Howard at firstname.lastname@example.org. (Please no phone calls, since we will be working remotely.)
All our facilities are closed, including the Early Learning Center. For questions about the Early Learning Center, please be in touch with Missy Corbin at email@example.com.
We thank you for your continued loyalty and commitment to the YMCA as we work together to keep our community strong and vibrant!
