We are excited to offer a FREE YMCA Membership to teens (ages 13-18) in the Charlottesville area this summer! Registration opens May 19!A Wellness floor orientation is required for 13-15 year olds to learn how to safely use equipment.

What to Wear: Closed-toed, athletic shoes are required (NO CROCS). For comfort and protection, participants are encouraged to wear clean, dry workout attire including closed-toed shoes.

- Bring caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to every rep and step you take here.

Leave Space
- In consideration of others, members should not dominate or block access to machines.
- Limit yourself to two people per machine.

Keep It Clean
- Re-rack weights after use and wipe down machines with gym wipes to keep our space clean and respectful.
- Keep your language clean too.

Be Considerate of Time
- Limit your use of cardio machines to 30 minutes when others are waiting.
- Once you’ve finished using a machine, please move on so others can enjoy their workout too.
- Sitting on equipment to text, scroll social media, or take selfies can prevent others from using it.

Phone Etiquette
- Please keep phone use to a minimum and step aside if you need to take a call.
- Avoid taking pictures/videos with others in the background.

Stay Hydrated
- Bring your water in a non-breakable bottle. Save other drinks and food for after your workout.

Q: How do I get registered?
A: Register online or in-person any time during the summer!
Q: Who is eligible?
A: Members must be between 13-18 at the time of membership activation. Members are existing memberships are ineligible to participate in this promotion.
Q: What can my teen do at the Y?
A: Work out, play basketball, swim in indoor pools, and play video games in our Teen Center!
