WINTER SPORTS REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.

Winter Youth Basketball 

+ Little Dribblers

YMCA Youth Basketball and Little Dribblers make up a progressive program encouraging fair play, positive competition, and family involvement. 

  • WHO: All kids age 3-14

  • WHERE: Charlottesville City & Albemarle Co. Gyms

  • WHEN:
    Youth Basketball (grades 1-8): Starts Nov. 10; one practice per week + Saturday games
    Little Dribblers (ages 3-5): Starts Oct. 18; weekly combined practice + game

  • FEE:

    • Youth: $130 for Y members ($195 for non-members)

    • Little Dribblers: $75 for Y members ($95 for non-members)

    • A $25 Late Registration Fee will apply the week after the close of registration.

  • Financial assistance is available. 

  • YMCA Member Discount Eligibility
    • To receive the YMCA member rate for a program, your membership must be active before registering and remain active through the entire duration of the program.

Registration closes October 10. Late Registration closes October 17.

All-Girls Youth Basketball 

A new league for 2025 built for girls to grow their skills, confidence, and love for the game in a fun, supportive environment.

  • WHO: All kids age 6-14

  • WHERE: Charlottesville City & Albemarle Co. Gyms

  • WHEN: Starts Nov. 10; one practice per week + Saturday games

  • FEE: $150 for Y members ($190 for non-members)
    A $25 Late Registration Fee will apply the week after the close of registration.

Winter Youth Volleyball

Bump, set, and spike your way to fun in our co-ed youth volleyball program! Your child will learn key skills and enjoy learning how to play this sport which was invented in a YMCA!

  • WHO: All kids grades 1-8

  • WHERE: Brooks Family YMCA

  • WHEN:
    Youth Volleyball (grades 1-8): Starts Nov. 10; one practice per week + Saturday games

  • FEE: $150 for Y members ($190 for non-members)
    A $25 Late Registration Fee will apply the week after the close of registration.
