Y flag football provides children with a safe and fulfilling introduction to flag football. This league introduces new skills, enhances abilities, and teaches the rules of the sport. Players will have one practice a week and games on Saturdays at area school fields.

Teams practice once per week on weekdays (Mon-Fri). Practices are approximately 1-hour each and occur at Charlottesville & Albemarle County fields, starting March 9.
Teams play 6 games in a season + a post-season event. Games occur Saturday mornings/afternoons at Charlottesville * Albemarle County Fields. Games begin on Sat., March TBD. Games are officiated by YMCA trained staff members. If you or anyone you know is interested in officiating this season, check out our career board. The game schedule will be posted on www.quickscores.com/piedmontymca.
All youth flag football coaches are volunteers. Interested coaches should contact Henry Houghton at hhoughton@piedmontymca.org. There is a mandatory Coach’s Meeting at the Brooks Family YMCA Community Room (date: TBD)
The YMCA Flag Football League utilizes NFL Flag Football Rules with some league modifications.

Little Rushers provides 3-5 year olds the chance to learn the foundations of flag football in a fun and fulfilling way. Participants will enjoy an instructional environment that focuses on fundamentals and play-based teaching rather than competition. Sessions are led by Y staff each Saturday.

Introductory Basketball Clinic (age 6-11)Build skills, confidence, and a love of the game in our Introductory Basketball Clinic for ages 6–11. This clinic is designed for beginners and developing players who want to learn basketball fundamentals in a supportive, co-ed environment focused on teamwork, movement, and having fun.
WHO: All kids ages 6–11
WHEN: Mondays and Wednesdays, March 30–April 30
WHERE: Charlottesville City & Albemarle Co. Gyms
FEE: $80 members, $100 non-members (a $25 late fee applies to late registration)
