This family-friendly event is a great way to get some exercise, enjoy the fall weather, and give back to the community!
Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costumes, and there will be plenty of treats and surprises along the way!
Best of all, the proceeds from the event support YMCA scholarships, ensuring that no one is turned away for inability to pay for Y membership and programs!
By participating in the YMCA Gatorade Halloween Hustle 10k Run + 2 Mile Trick-or-Treat Family Walk, you'll be helping to make a positive difference for your neighbors from all walks of life.
So gather your friends and family, put on your running shoes and Halloween costumes, and join us for a day of spooky fun and community spirit! It will be a Halloween experience you won't forget!
POST-RACE PARTY
After you cross the finish line, join us at the Charlottesville High School Track for a celebration with a bounce house for little kids and fun inflatable obstacle course for big kids, a costume contest, awards, and more! Winners of the Costume Contest will receive prize baskets, including a free month of membership to the YMCA!
Join our Halloween Hustle Facebook Group to stay connected as you get ready for race day. Whether this is your first 10K, your first race in a while, or you’re just here for the costumes and community, this group is a place to ask questions, share progress, get training tips, and stay motivated along the way. We’ll be sharing race updates, helpful reminders, training encouragement, and costume inspiration leading up to the Halloween Hustle.
WHEN: Saturday October 31, 2026, 8:30am - 10:30am (gather near start line at 8:20am)
WHERE: Starting line @ Brooks Family YMCA, finish @ Charlottesville High School Track
Parking map - We encourage participants to park at CHS (near the finish line), and stroll to the start line at the Y! Please plan to be at the start line at 8:15am so you won't miss anything! Runners will start very promptly at 8:30am, with walkers starting just a minute or two later.
PACKET PICK-UP:
Walkers: if you pick up your bag on Friday night, please remember to bring it back on Saturday to use in collecting candy along the route!

We’d love your help making the Halloween Hustle a fun and safe event for all! From water stations to course marshals to cheering on our little runners, there’s a role for everyone. Volunteers get serious appreciation, plenty of Halloween spirit, and a front-row seat to all the action. Costumes also encouraged!
