On Saturday, May 3, Cavalier Aquatics will host its second annual “Swim for the CAVS” fundraiser to support our swimmers, coaches, and families for sustained, long-term success.

Event Information
WHEN: Saturday, May 3
WHERE: Brooks Family YMCA
WHO: Donors can be family, relatives, friends, neighbors, organizations, etc. Every little bit helps and can add up quickly!
GOAL: The team-wide goal is $50,000
Last Year’s Funds Went To:
- New sets of bleachers for pool seating
- New performance training equipment for the athletes
- New technology, including above and underwater cameras for
technique and race analysis at practices and meets
Expected Allocation of Funds Raised This Year:
- New starting blocks with wedges
- Redesign of natatorium space with updated banners,
graphics, and room for sponsorship opportunities
How to Donate:
- FLAT DONATION: This is the easiest way to contribute to this fundraiser on behalf of an athlete. Simply follow the link below to donate online, and make sure to enter your athlete’s name in the “in honor of” line on the donation page!
- PLEDGE: For those who have participated in a Swim-a-thon, “Swim for the CAVS” will function similarly. Donors can support our athletes on a per-lap basis or with a flat donation. Our athletes will swim as many laps as possible (up to 200 lengths or 5000y) over the course of 90 minutes at the event.
- As an example, if a donor is willing to pledge $1 for every length swum, and a swimmer completes 50 lengths in 90 minutes, this would equal $50 earned.
Prizes for Athletes:
- Swimmers raising $250 or more will earn a t-shirt.
- Top money earners from each of the nine training groups will receive a grand prize.
- The top earning group (based on the average money raised per swimmer) will earn a pool party at the YMCA.
