2025 registration opens on January 13

At our 2025 eXploration Camp in Ruckersville, VA, young campers embark on a journey of learning and fun. Each week brings a new theme, sparking creativity through arts and crafts, engaging their curiosity with STEM projects, and promoting physical health with exciting PE games. Field trips add an extra layer of adventure, and themed dress-up days make learning immersive and exciting.

  • Virginia licensed school-age summer camp

  • Location: Nathanael Greene Elementary School

  • Ages: 5-9. This is a school-age camp, so campers are grouped into age appropriate huddles.

*YMCA Camp is closed Thursday, June 19 & Friday, July 4.

Summer Camp Hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm
Drop-off: 7:30am - 8:30am  
Pick-up: 4:30pm - 5:30pm

REGISTRATION FEE
Non-refundable & required for each participant.

  • Registration fee: $50 per camper

WEEKLY DEPOSIT:

  • A $25/week deposit is required to reserve a spot in camp. This deposit is non-refundable and will be applied towards the balance due.

WEEKLY CAMP FEES:

  • $150 per week – Standard fee for campers
  • $130 per week – Students in Y After School

Weekly payments will be drafted by the Summer Day Camp Program on Thursdays prior to session attending. There will be no refunds if a child does not attend. There will be a $25 fee for all returned checks or charges. A two-week notice is required for any child who is voluntarily withdrawn from the program.

Financial Assistance

Although there is no hard deadline to apply for financial assistance, we ask for a minimum of 5 business days for us to review financial assistance applications. Applications must be reviewed, in good order, and payment received before the child may attend camp.

What items to bring?
Water bottle, sunscreen, bathing suit, towel, lunch, and two snacks.

How do I qualify for a YMCA member discount?
To qualify for the YMCA Member discount on Summer Camp, please ensure your YMCA membership is active before registering for camp and continue your membership throughout the camp duration.

REGISTRATION

2025 registration is now OPEN.

  • Space is limited and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Registration for each week of camp closes two weeks prior to the beginning of camp.
  • If you register before May 20, your camper’s CampDoc profile must be 100% complete by May 27.
  • If you register after May 20, your Campdoc paperwork is due one week before your camper starts camp.

We will contact participants who have finished step 1 in order to fill out paperwork and complete their registration in the program.
