Give the Gift of Community 

As a donor to the Y, you help build community for more than 14,000 individuals in the greater Charlottesville Area. With access to YMCA programs and space, our most vulnerable youth and adults have a trusted place where they can learn and grow, get healthy and strong, gain confidence, and find community.

So far this year, Y donors have helped us:

• Teach 2,135 local school children life-saving swimming and water safety skills, 58% on scholarship;

• Ensure high-quality, affordable child care for 112 children at our Early Learning Center at the Jefferson School, 74% on scholarship;

• Give 1,344 local teens a Free Summer Teen Membership, ensuring a safe space for summer recreation, fitness, and socializing;

• Provide summer fun, social-emotional growth, and academic enrichment for 803 school-age kids at YMCA Summer Camps and Summer Academies, 38% on scholarship;

• Provide 552 children in Charlottesville and Greene County safe, fun, and enriching after school care while parents worked, 75% on scholarship;

• Provide financial assistance to 35% of our 11,511 Brooks Family YMCA members and 2,585 Sports program participants. 

As a nonprofit, we work to make sure nobody is turned away for inability to pay.

But we can't do it without you.
