170th Anniversary Comprehensive Campaign

3-Year Goals / Objectives:

  1. Launch comprehensive campaign to include federal, state and local grants, foundation support, major gifts, private philanthropy, multi-year giving, endowment and planned giving.
  2. Educate community about 170-year history of YMCA in Charlottesville, including community awareness around impact.
  3. Ensure future sustainability of Piedmont Family YMCA.

Measures of Success:

  1. Raise $10M over 3-years.
  2. 25% increase in donors.
  3. 50% increase in donor retention.

1856 Giving Society

3-Year Goals / Objectives:

  1. Includes multi-year pledges ($2,500+ over 3-years).
  2. Includes documentation of planned gifts.
  3. Includes endowment gifts ($15,000+)
  4. Plan annual event for 1856 Society, separate from annual Chair’s Roundtable event.

Measures of Success:

  1. 50 multi-year pledges
  2. 10 documented planned gifts
  3. 10 endowment gifts

Endowment

3-Year Goals / Objectives:

  1. YMCA Board to establish and seed a $500,000 endowment that can be used as a community match.
  2. Create case statement for endowment that can accompany donor visits.
  3. Identify and establish major donor portfolios to approach for endowment gifts.

Measures of Success:

  1. Raise $1M for endowment ($500,000 from Board + $500,000 matched by community).
  2. Increase community awareness around community impact and need.
  3. 10 endowment gifts.

Capital Improvement & Risk Management

3-Year Goals / Objectives:

  1. Conduct property and facility condition assessments. Document asset management plan, in combination with a maintenance reserve fund.
  2. Complete 15-year capital needs assessment and replacement reserve analysis and budget accordingly.
  3. Work with West Bend on a comprehensive risk management plan and complete Praesidium Accreditation.

Measures of Success:

  1. Capital reserve fund is sufficient to cover scheduled asset replacement.
  2. Equipment is replaced according to manufacture recommended schedule.
  3. 8+ Net Promoter Scores (NPS), indicating that members feel that the facility is safe, clean, and up-to-date.
